Servitor Special Abilities

Each Servitor race has been empowered by their Great Old One with a Special Ability—something only their race can do—that bends the rules of time and space to their benefit:

  • Serpent People—Servitors of Nyarlathotep (Red)

Serpent-PeopleDescription—’They walked lithely and sinuously erect on pre-mammalian members, their pied and hairless bodies bending with great suppleness. There was a loud hissing of fomulaw as they went to and fro.’

Special Ability—‘Occupy Locations’—may hold Nodes.

  • Dark Young—Servitors of Shub-Niggurath (Brown)

Dark-YoungDescription—‘Something black in the road, something that wasn’t a tree. It crawled up and it flowed up on hooves and mouths and snaky arms.’

Special Ability—‘Great Strength’—attack and defend at 2d6 except in Fire Nodes when they are 1d6.

  • Deep Ones—Servitors of Great Cthulhu (Green)

Deep OneDescription—‘Their forms vaguely suggested the anthropoid, while their heads were the heads of fish, with prodigious bulging eyes that never closed.’

Special Ability—‘Cheap Summoning’—cost two (2) Cultists to summon rather than the usual three (3).

  • Byakhee—Servitors of Hastur the Unspeakable (Blue)

ByakheeDescription—‘There flapped rhythmically a horde of tame, trained, hybrid winged things not altogether crows, or moles, or buzzards, or ants, or decomposed human beings.’

Special Ability—’Safe Passage’—all Cultists accompanying Mi-Go when travelling between Nodes do not have to roll on the Gate Mishaps table.

  • Mi-Go—Servitors of Yog-Sothoth (Yellow)

Mi-GoDescription—‘They were pinkish things about five-feet long; with crustaceous bodies bearing vast pairs of dorsal fins or membranous wings and several sets of articulate limbs, and with a sort of convoluted ellipsoid, covered with multitudes of very short antennae where a head would ordinarily be.’

Special Ability—‘Fast Movement’—may each carry a Cultist and has a base movement of +1 Nodes at a time (see Sympathetic Magic) through unoccupied Nodes.
