Elemental Special Cards are Event Cards that may only be wielded successfully by the appropriate Great Old One and, if drawn by them, may be kept in their hands and used once and then removed permanently from play and returned to the box.
If they are picked up by another Great Old One, they act as a normal Event card and must be played immediately, however they are not removed from play until played by the appropriate Great Old One and are immediately reshuffled back into the Arcana Deck.
