Arcana Cards’ effects are determined in order of having been played. The length of effect is noted as part of the explanation of the card. If the effect lasts more than an instant, the card is placed face-up in front of the Great Old One card it affects until the effect is over, at which point it is removed and placed on the Arcana discard pile.
